Event Note

Bohdan Philip Lozinski was captured by the Germans.
He escaped from a prisoner-of-war camp and made his way to France, where he joined the French Underground, the "Maquis."
He was captured again and sentenced to death by the Germans.
He again escaped, and made his way through Spain and Gibraltar, back to England.
He parachuted back into France, as the Polish liaison officer under British command, a role in which he held, until 1944, when he was honorably discharged.
