Event Note

In 1907, the Jewish settlement of Sejera occupied farmlands of al-Shajara الشجرة‎, after acquiring the land from the Sursock سرسق family.
This provoked attacks by the villagers of al-Shajara الشجرة‎.

Event Note

On May 6, 1948, al-Shajara الشجرة‎ was captured by the 12th Battalion גדוד 12 (ברק, Golani Brigade חטיבת גולני, and the entire population fled, leaving twenty dead.

 
Death July 12, 1948   Gur Meirov, age 17 and a half years, fell in the battle of Sejera, fighting against Fawzi Kaukji's "Army of Deliverance"
