Narrative
The National Military Cemetery בית הקברות הצבאי is located on the northern slope of Mount Herzl הר הרצל, within a large park which also contains a museum.
The park, which is reached via Sderot Herzl שדרות הרצל, which runs off derech Ruppin דרך רופין, is the focal point of commemorative proceedings relating to the State of Israel.
There are three Commonwealth burials are in the top right section among a group of seven headstones; the other four headstones are memorial headstones and contain no burials.
Narrative
On August 31, 1964, the bodies of the Maapilim lost on Salvador סלבדור, were transported to Israel and buried on Mount Herzl הר הרצל.
