Leon Wertheimer emigrated to Canada having obtained a visa in Warsaw. Visa M. 5789, Warsaw (Varsovie), proceeding to Canada via Danzig (Gdańsk), Cologne (Köln) and Antwerp (Antwerpen); Visa Number 7755 issued by the Legation de Belgique a Varsovie, December, 1920. Leon Wertheimer came to Canada with his wife's brother, Oscar Lackstein. Leib worked in the rail yards in Montreal East, until he had saved enough money (ships gelt) to send for his wife and children.
