In September, 2006, David Chissick was appointed vice-chairman of Portsmouth FC, when Franco-Russian property magnate, Alexandre "Sacha" Gaydamak (son of Arkady Gaydamak, owner of Beitar Jerusalem FC), bought total control of the club from former chairman Milan Mandaric, for an estimated £34 million. In 2007, David Chissick resigned from his position as vice-chairman and director of Portsmouth Football Club, to dedicate more time to his other business ventures. |
