Operation Yoav מבצע יואב, also called Operation Ten Plagues, was a military operation carried out from October 15–22 , 1948, in the Negev נגב Desert, during the 1948 Israel War of Independence מלחמת העצמאות.
Operation Yoav מבצע יואב drove a wedge between the Egyptian forces along the coast and the Beersheba באר שבע–Hebron–Jerusalem road, to conquer the entire Negev נגב Desert.

Dov Zaira served as Commander of Company B 'פלוגה ב, First Battalion גדוד הראשון, during Operation Yoav מבצע יואב, and led the raid on Dimrah דימרה.
