Narrative
Artemisia Ἀρτεμῑσίᾱ ארטמיזיה was a small Greek passenger and cargo steamer/trawler.
Registered name: Kalmia
Built: 1892 or 1893, by Cochrane Cooper, Berkeley, for M. T. Zygomalas Ζυγομαλά Shipping Company of Chios Χίος and Istanbul.

Nicholas Peppas cites Kalmia was transferred to Goulandris Γουλανδρή, and in the late 1890s, sold to M. T. Zygomalas Ζυγομαλά Shipping Company and changing her name to Artemisia Ἀρτεμῑσίᾱ.
She was named after Artemisia Ἀρτεμῑσίᾱ, daughter of Lygdamis, who played a part in the war against Greece; she led the forces of Halicarnassos, Cos, Nisyros and Calyndos, and supplied five ships,

George Pinotsis, a decedent of Laskarina Bouboulina Λασκαρίνα Μπουμπουλίν-Pinotsi, managed to get a license to carry passengers, and signed an agreement with HeChalutz to sell/rented her.
