Narrative
The Landsberg Konzentrationslager was a group of eleven German concentration camps, located around Landsberg and Kaufering.
On June 18, 1944, the first 1,000 prisoners from Auschwitz were transported to Kaufering, to work underground on Project Ringeltaube, in three underground bunkers where they built the Messerschmitt Me-262.

On orders from General Maxwell D. Taylor, the news media were allowed to record the atrocities, and local German civilians and guards were ordered to bury the dead, digging the graves with their bare hands.
