On March 13, 1938, SS Samaria arrived in New York, carrying Zeev Jabotinsky, and two of his senior aides, Aaron Kopelowicz and Eliahu Ben-Horin.

In 1939, SS Samaria was converted into a troopship, and served until 1948.

On September 15, 1943, SS Samaria arrived at Liverpool, carrying the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment.

In 1950, SS Samaria was returned to Cunard Lines, and underwent a complete overhaul, before returning to duty, on the Canadian route.
Narrative
In December, 1955, SS Samaria was laid up, and in 1956, she was sold for scrap.
She was scrapped at Inverkeithing.
