Narrative
On Kristallnacht, November 10, 1938, Wiesbaden's large synagogue on Michelsberg, designed by Phillip Hoffmann and built in 1869, was destroyed, along with the synagogue in Wiesbaden-Bierstadt.
During the Third Reich, aapproximately 1,200 Wiesbaden Jews were deported and murdered.
Narrative
Maurice 'Monju' Tiefenbrunner cites: "Wiesbaden, being a spa, was inhabited, during the summer months, by American Jews. There were 2 kosher hotels, and flats or rooms were also rented out."
