Narrative
HMS Virago (R75) was an V-class destroyer of the Royal Navy.
She was 4th RN warship to carry the name.
She was converted into a Type 15 fast anti-submarine frigate, with the new pennant number F76.
Ordered: September 1, 1941, from Swan Hunter at Wallsend, Newcastle
Laid down: February 16, 1942
Launched: February 4, 1943
Completed: November 5, 1943

From 1945 until 1948, Doug Wilkin served as CPO Engineer, aboard HMS Virago.
Narrative
On July 1, 1946, Beriah ביריה Akbel was detected by RAF reconnaisance aircraft, and intercepted by HMS Virago, HMS Stevenstone, HMS Talybont and HMS Haydon.
HMS Haydon dropped a depth charge to persuade Beriah ביריה Akbel to stop her engine.
