Narrative
In 1927, Jewish People’s Schools was organized as the first Jewish Day School in Montreal, by a group, headed by Dr. Yehuda Kaufman, Moishe Dickstein, Abraham Parnass, who had become disenchanted with aspects of the educational program, and organized the "Yiddishe Folks Shulen".
ln 1927, Jewish Peretz Schools was organized, changing its name from the National Radical School to "Yiddishe Peretz Shulen".
In 1971, the two schools were merged, becoming Jewish People’s Schools & Peretz Schools JPPS.
