In 1941, Ottó Komoly, Joel Brand, Samuel Springmann and Rudolf Kasztner officially established the Aid and Rescue Committee ועדת העזרה וההצלה בבודפשט, to provide assistance to Jews fleeing prosecution in Poland and Hungary.
Narrative
In January, 1943, Otto Komoly became the chairman of the Relief and Rescue Committee ועדת העזרה וההצלה בבודפשט.
He made contact with the Hungarian Front, and helped victims of Nazi persecution from neighboring countries find refuge in Hungary and Romania.
