Beit haKerem בית הכרם, House of the Vineyard, is a neighborhood in southwest Jerusalem.

In 1920, the founders of Beit haKerem בית הכרם established the Bonei Bayit co-operative אגודת בוני בית.
In March, 1921, the co-op acquired 282 dunams from the Greek Orthodox Church.
In 1922, Beit haKerem בית הכרם was founded as one of six garden cities in Jerusalem developed during the British Mandate for Palestine.
Beit haKerem בית הכרם, at the time separated from Jerusalem by undeveloped land,was planned by Ricard Kaufmann, notable for his Bauhaus style.
