Narrative

In 1935, Kia Ora was sold to Ditta Luigi Pittaluga Vapori, Genova, and renamed Verbania.
She was seized as a war prize by the British.
She was renamed Empire Tamar, MOWT, and operated as a general cargo ship.

Narrative

In 1944, Verbania, managed by J & J. Denholm Lts, was scuttled at Normandy.
In 1947, she was refloated and scrapped at Strangford Lough.
