Brest Брэст is located in Belarus Беларусь, at the border with Poland, opposite Terespol, where the Western Bug River and Mukhavets River meet.
It is on the main railway line connecting Berlin and Moscow, and E30, an intercontinental highway.
Brest Брэст became a principal border crossing since World War II in Soviet times.

It is one of the oldest cities in Belarus Беларусь.
Brest Брэст became part of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.
